Ruelas finishes second at Mt. SAC invite; boys place third

WALNUT — Senior Trinity Ruelas raced alone and finished second at the 69th Mt. SAC Invitational last Friday.
Ruelas finished in 18:24, forty seconds behind the top runner from Miramonte.
The boys’ cross country team placed third in their group with 124 points.
At ninth place, junior Angel Arellano led the team with a time of 16:47.
Among the top finishers were seniors Dominic Razo and Chris Orozco, finishing in 17:42 and 17:43, respectively.
Juniors Xavier Mendoza and Timothy Ruelas followed behind them at 17:52 and 17:57, landing in 31st and 36th place.
The girls’ and boys’ teams will compete at the Apache Invitational this Friday at Arcadia County Park.
