Preview: Bishop Amat at Notre Dame

After last week’s heartbreaking loss to Loyola in the league opener, the Lancers will attempt to pick up their first Mission League victory Friday when they travel to Sherman Oaks to face the Notre Dame Knights.
Notre Dame also fell in their league opener when they lost 45-35 to Bishop Alemany. The Knights have the same 3-2 record as the Lancers.
The Knights are led by Arizona-bound running back and defensive end Kylan Wilborn, who is a three-star recruit, according 247Sports. He stands 6-foot-2 and weighs in at 240 pounds.
The Lancers do not want to start off league play 0-2 as they are looking to make playoffs for a third year in a row.
After Friday’s game the Lancers still have have a tough schedule ahead. They take on two teams ranked highly in Southern California, according to Maxpreps.
A loss Friday would make it very difficult for the Lancers to win their league and make a trip to the Pac-5 playoffs.
