Lancers baseball defeats La Salle in league matchup

LA PUENTE – Bishop Amat Lancers varsity baseball beat La Salle 3-2 in seven innings on Tuesday at Bishop Amat behind Torreahno Sweet, who went 2-2 and scored the winning run.
He singled in the third and seventh innings.
The game was scoreless until La Salle broke the ice with two runs in the fourth. La Salle scored runs on a groundout by Brett Wheat and a single by Ryan Garcia.
Bishop Amat Lancers Varsity put up one run in each of the fourth, fifth and seventh. In the fourth, Bishop Amat Lancers Varsity scored on a groundout by Brandon Godoy, plating Sergio Robles.
