Bishop Amat students, faculty and guests gathered in the Carroll Center on March 5 to celebrate the Ash Wednesday mass, marking the beginning of the Lenten season.
Monsignor Aiden Carroll’s homily discussed preparing for the season and to remind the attendees that the next forty days are to meant to remember the forty days Jesus spent in the desert while being tempted. He spoke about fasting and how “giving something up” for Lent is not limited to material objects, but as well as actions.
