Battlefield 3 has finally arrived and is one of the most anticipated games of the year. DICE and EA put in a lot of time, money, and marketing to make this game one of the most anticipated games of the year. Does it live up to the expectations?
Battlefield 3 captivated me as soon as I played it. Bullets flying everywhere, jets bombing, and your teammates strategizing gives this game a real life feel of war. The maps are great. Each is really big and give you tons of places to snipe, hide, and attack.
As you look to aim, you notice your spotter does not automatically lock on, instead the game leaves the player to find, lock on, and kill your enemy.
What really stands out from the Battlefield series is the stunning graphics. The Frostbite 2 engine gives the game a great look, it makes smoke very dense, and fire lifelike. However, sometimes things are too bright and looks somewhat bizarre.
In the campaign mode, it focuses on the life of Sergeant James Blackburn, as he tries to stop terrorist attacks and travels across the world to stop the enemy.
Battlefield 3 was supposedly the Call of Duty series killer, and this could be true. Battlefield brings a different point of view with 1st person shooters. It gives you incredible graphics, great online play, and a campaign mode.
Though it has some graphic bugs and the campaign is not as strong as it could of been, Battlefield 3 is a must buy.
