The Bishop Amat Dance Department held “‘Tis the Season,” its annual Christmas Dance Concert, last weekend in the Carroll Activity Center.
At this concert, students involved in physical education dance, beginning dance and intermediate dance can show off their moves and perform in front of their families. In addition students in Dance Production put on a special show that previews one of their routines they will perform at competitions.
Dance teachers Ms. Trudy Larson and Ms. Danielle Baca organized the entire event.
The performance began with an upbeat number performed by Ms. Larson’s fifth period dance class.
In between dances, ASB President Victoria Esquer kept the event entertaining by holding mini-dance offs.
Scattered throughout the concert were performances by the award-winning Bishop Amat Dance Team. The team gave a sneak peak of what to expect from their upcoming competition season.
The concert concluded with a grand finale performed by the entire cast of the event. In this finale all the performers danced a small snippet of their own dance, and then joined all together to end the show with a bang.
