Costumes, Candy, and Movies, OH MY
In a few weeks, masks will finally be cool.
HALLOWEEN IS COMING UP!
This is a favorite of many because you get to express yourself and be who you want to be without anyone judging you. Halloween lets you be yourself, and you never have to worry about being judged. Or, as Cady Heron says in “Mean Girls,” “Halloween is when kids dress up and beg for candy.”
Last year, no one could trick or treat or go out due to the Coronavirus, but …
In case you forgot how to celebrate, here are five things you have to do on Halloween to have fun:
- Dress up!
- Go to a party (Go have fun with your family and friends)
- GO TRICK OR TREATING (no one is too old for candy)
- Go on a spooky adventure (Haunted House)
- Carve a pumpkin
If you do these things, it is ensured that you will have a fun and successful Halloween.
If you need some inspiration on what to be, here are some of the best Halloween costume ideas:
- Maybe you’re a big comic book fan. If you’re Team DC, dress up like the Joker or Batman or Wonder Woman or Harley Quinn. But if you’re team Marvel, nothing beats a solid Black Widow or Captain America fit. Here are some other cool and basic costumes.
- Disney Princesses
- Cat
- Mouse….
“I’m a mouse. DUH,” says Karen Smith in “Mean Girls.”
Please tell me you understand that Karen Smith quote.
Next, if you are lucky enough to have a significant other, here are some costumes to make you two look like the cutest couple.
Couple Costumes
Speaking of couples, if you happen to have a significant other, make sure to make them a spooky basket. Do not make her angry, boys.
If you haven’t seen any of these Spooktakular movies, here are some movies you need to watch:
Here are a few of my favorites.
- The Nun
- It
- US
- A Quiet Place
- Escape Room
- Mean Girls (Just for the fun of it)
A good Horror movie is perfect, especially on October 31st, 2021
If none of these interest you, here is a video showing the 10 Best Scary Movies to watch on Halloween.
Lastly, to have the best Halloween, you need to make sure you eat some candy. It’s okay; we won’t tell your parents. Here is a list of the most popular Halloween candies. If you cannot go out and buy this candy, here are ways you can make this at home.
- Candy Corn
- Reese’s Pieces Pumpkins
- Cookies and Scream M&M’s- (For something more excited, put them into cookies)
- KitKat Witches Brew
- Hershey’s Kisses
If you get any candy bars, make sure they are all KING SIZE!
Always remember, if you do go out to always be safe and smart. Halloween only comes once a year, so make sure you have fun. Always remember that you are never too old to trick or treat. Seniors, this is your last Halloween together. Live up every second. To all the students at Amat, make sure to eat some candy. Covid is still around, so wear a mask and be aware of your surroundings. Have a fun and safe Halloween. Have the best Halloween!! Happy Halloween!
